LANGUAGES Evaluation

Language course evaluation

All levels of the four-month and annual courses include a continuous evaluation component. This evaluation will be carried out throughout the course to measure students’ progress and their readiness to progress to the next level. The minimum number of teaching hours needed to reach each CEFR level according to language can be found by clicking on this link.

In the continuous evaluation component, the following will be assessed at the end of the course (March-May):

  • A written task
  • A speaking task
  • A final exam

Students should consult their teachers for details about specific content of each task.

At the end of the course, students will receive a report in which the teacher will detail the progress they have made and aspects of the language they must still strengthen and improve. Students taking part in the continuous evaluation will receive a pass or fail grade at the end of the course. All students who receive a pass grade will be issued a certificate of participation.

Students enroled on English courses of more than 50 hours for the duration of 2019/20 academic year may choose to take the Cambridge Assessment English Linguaskill official exam in one of the calls organised for that academic year. They will receive a 50% discount on the price of the exam.
