CEIT International Inter-university Institute for Children

International Inter-university Institute for Children

The Instituto Interuniversitario Internacional de la Infancia (International Inter-university Institute for Children) brings together training and research on childhood and adolescence carried out in Honduras and Central America. This pioneering and innovative initiative will allow the analysis and evaluation of the shortcomings, advances and proposals being developed around this topic. It will provide society in general and the different public and private entities related to childhood, with up-to-date information on the scientific research being carried out.

There is without doubt a constant and growing demand for university studies aimed at specialisation in the field of childhood, as well as for serious and rigorous research that provides measures and tools to help establish real and effective protection of minors and improve the educational and social conditions of this highly vulnerable group.

With the creation of this Institute, knowledge can be generated and transmitted. It can offer specialised training in childhood and adolescence to scientists, professionals, teachers and technicians, as well as promote and develop scientific research, thereby creating and disseminating knowledge in all its forms and extending its action and services to society.
