DIALOGUE on children’s rights and Covid-19 with Javier Cuenca

On Thursday, 7 May 2020, the DIALOGUE series returns, this time ‘from home’, with Javier Cuenca, director of the NGO Save the Children in Andalusia, with “DIALOGUE on Children’s Rights and COVID-19.” This session is being held by video conference within the programme #FGUMAcontigo.

Javier Cuenca is the director of Save the Children in Andalusia. He holds a degree in Philosophy and the Humanities from the University of Córdoba; a Master’s degree in Strategies, Agents, and Policies for Development Cooperation from the HEGOA Institute of the University of the Basque Country; and a university expert qualification in Equality Policies from the National Distance Education University (UNED). He has worked for various NGDOs and public bodies such as the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the Andalusian Institute for Women. He has also worked abroad in Bosnia, Morocco, and China.  In April 2010, he was appointed Director of Save the Children in Andalusia. Prior to this, he worked for three years for the same organisation, coordinating work in North Africa and the Middle East.

The journalist Teresa Sánchez will be leading the talk with the speaker and transmitting the questions from the online audience.
